The future president of the prestigious debating society has been ousted from office after failing a no-confidence vote that came after his controversial social media posts about the conservative activist.
The motion against the student leader achieved the required two-thirds threshold to remove him from office, according to an statement from the society.
The controversy erupted after Mr Abaraonye reportedly shared messages on online platforms that appeared to welcome the killing of Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead while speaking at a university in Utah.
According to reports, one social media message reportedly read "Charlie Kirk got shot loool" - using an extended form of the phrase 'lol'.
The president-elect is also reported to have posted in a WhatsApp chat with fellow students appearing to express approval of the event.
The no-confidence motion was conducted over the weekend, with outcomes announced on this week.
Society announcements indicated that over twelve hundred votes were cast supporting no confidence, while just over five hundred were opposed the motion.
The announcement confirmed that the president-elect was considered to have resigned in following the society's regulations.
Proceedings were temporarily halted early on the previous day after the returning officer was allegedly subjected to "interference, threats, and inappropriate behavior" from several representatives.
In a statement, the student asserted that the count had been halted because electoral officials believed "no valid outcome could be reached as a result of process errors".
His response unequivocally denied that any representative appointed by George had participated in intimidating or disruptive behavior.
The student stated that significant concerns had been referred to the governing body and that he continued as president-elect.
His statement added that George was "proud and thankful to have the support of well in excess of a majority of students at Oxford" who supported a "secure voting process and oppose efforts to undermine the electoral process".
Critics have argued that any failure to remove him would "demonstrate internationally that the society has prioritized politics over principles".
On Friday, Kirk's former chief of staff presented an public message to the Oxford Union on The Charlie Kirk Show broadcast.
The message accused the society of becoming a place where "student leaders openly applaud the killing of a ideological rival".
The communication indicated that if Mr Abaraonye were to remain in post, Kirk's allies would "directly reach out to every U.S. political figure who has ever graced the union's chamber and urge them never again to lend their name".
The society had earlier condemned the student's remarks after Kirk's death and stated that complaints submitted about him had been forwarded for disciplinary proceedings.
The student leader had been one of several students to debate with Kirk at the society in spring.
