Real Madrid's winger Extends Apology to Real Madrid Fans

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his response when replaced in Sunday's fiery El Clasico win.

Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd minute and expressed his annoyance by heading directly down the tunnel.

Vinicius later returned to the sidelines and, after his team's 2-1 victory, attempted to approach Barcelona's opposing player during unsavoury post-match exchanges.

"Today I want to apologise to all the Real Madrid fans for my behavior when I was replaced in the derby," Vinicius wrote on social media.

"In the same way as I have said in person during today's training, I wish to apologise again to my team-mates, the organization, and the club president.

"Sometimes emotion takes over me because I always want to succeed and help my team. My competitive character stems from the passion I hold for this institution and each thing it symbolizes."

Vinicius moved to the Spanish capital from his former club in the year 2018 for £38.7m and has notched over a century of strikes in numerous matches.

But his prospects in the Madrid is far from certain with rumors in lately suggesting that Los Blancos would consider allowing the player move on if they obtained a suitable offer.

When the winger was taken off on that day, cameras from broadcaster the platform recorded him saying: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I leave, I'm leaving."

In his latest statement on social media, the athlete said: "I promise to keep fighting constantly for the welfare of the club, as I have performed since the very beginning."
