The right-hander was left out from the one-day international team following being dismissed for one in both of his innings during the recent series against South Africa in August. Labuschagne has a top score of 47 in his last 10 ODI batting appearances.
Labuschagne has played 68 ODIs and accumulated 1,871 ODI runs at an batting average of 34.64, but will now work towards a return to the Test side ahead of the Ashes beginning in Perth on November 21.
Labuschagne has shown signs of a resurgence with a score of 160 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield this week, while Renshaw also hit a hundred for the Bulls in the same game against Tasmania.
Renshaw could to make his ODI debut in the forthcoming series against India after his last inclusion in an ODI squad in 2022.
